Gluten Free Cheri’s Beauty Faves!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation//

This foundation is labelled online as made without gluten, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and triclosan. All of which is amazing. However because it’s a bit purer than most foundations it does take a bit of work to make it look flawless. The first time I tried it I almost stopped using it because it tended to look heavy and cakey, but I put some on the top of my hand with a tiny dab of MUFE’s Hd foundation in 117 and a tiny dab of my daily moisturizer and it gives a beautiful slightly dewy finish that lasts. So glad I can get behind this product in the end. I’ve been using this foundation all month.

Make Up Forever HD Foundation//

Which leads me to this foundation an oldie but a goodie. This foundation does not contain gluten ingredients according to an email GlutenFreeCheri received from Make Up Forever. (This does not mean that there isn’t a possibility of cross contamination, more on this at the end of this post) This foundation is so easy to apply and blend. Lately I’ve been loving it for blending with my other favorite foundations for the perfect finish and also to lighten my darker summer foundation colors as well as bring down any pink tones in some of my foundations.

Urban Decay’s Naked Palette (the original palatte)//

Urban Decay has informed us that all 3 of the Naked Palattes do not contain gluten!!! This is truly wonderful news. The colors in this palatte are mostly nudes and it’s a great product for travel. Although some of Urban Decay’s products do contain gluten, from what other bloggers have said and my own experience, it seems like they really know what is or isn’t in their products, which just makes you a little more confident. Can’t say the same for some other companies that swear they are gluten free and then a year later suddenly decide they are not actually. Those ones that really suffer severe reactions from allergens or gluten in products need to be so careful with companies that are not certified gluten, paraben etc free…

Skin By Ann Webb Cucumber Sage Balancing Mist//

Love this mist. It is labelled gluten free, paraben free, vegan and phthalate free right on the bottle. This mist is like a toner, it doesn’t aggravate sensitive skin, it calms and hydrates lightly, and I’ve been using it nightly, I just love this stuff and I found it at Whole Foods.

E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator//

This is also great in a nightly routine of skincare. It’s exfoliates the lips and is perfect during these winter months. It contains sugar, shea butter and Avocado oil among other ingredients. E.L.F.’s entire line does not contain gluten ingredients according to an email we have received.

E.L.F. Zit Zapper//

The name is self explanatory. What I love about this zit treatment is it is so gentle, reduces redness, swelling and contains Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Camphor. Oh and did I mention it costs $1?! For real. Great for treatment of spots and prevention.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara//

Just finished up this mascara. Its a great product, adds good volume and doesn’t clump your lashes. It’s not cheap, but it is a task finding a good mascara that doesn’t contain gluten. Eyes can be one of the most sensitive areas. According to a Smashbox rep this product contains no gluten ingredients.

Clinique Superprimer, colour corrects redness//

It’s unlikely that a beauty expert would tell you that Clinique specializes in primers, however it is hard to find a redness correcting primer out there that isn’t a green colour. Green will correct redness however I’ve always found its adds cool tones to your overall look and looks funny on me. This Clinique yellow toned primer colour corrects redness and adds warmth to the overall tone if that makes sense! This is a great primer and helps give that poreless flawless finish and helps your makeup last. Been using this stuff everyday since I purchased it a few months ago. Clinique has informed us that there are no gluten ingredients in this particular product.

E.L.F. Blush in Candid Coral//

Still using this blush and will continue to until it is totally gone. It is such a pretty pinky peach colour and doesn’t have too much glitter/sparkle.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Peach Me//

Colour no. 628. This lipstick is full on peach! It is a lipstick colour I keep going back to lately. It has a pearly finish. Revlon has informed us by phone that this shade does not contain gluten ingredients, there is a possibility of cross contamination however.

Dear GFC Readers, please note:

(Gluten Free Cheri blogs about products that are certified gluten free, and also products that do not contain gluten ingredients but could encounter possible cross contamination, or minute, trace amounts of gluten, please do your own research, and do not use these products if you think you could have a reaction, your health is important!!! Double check a products ingredients to be extra safe and to ensure that you don’t have a reaction. Also companies do change their formulations all the time, and unfotunately there are times when a representative for a brand gets their facts wrong! It is important to contact the company about a particular product just before buying to ensure accurate information.)
